Legibility issues, long ascenders and descenders, problems with all-uppercase words. We saw some interesting typefaces trying to <strong>address at least the readability<\/strong> issue &#8211; like the ubiquous <strong>Lobster<\/strong> font &#8211; but we were still not satisfied. We wanted to create a script typeface that was a bit like a <strong>swiss knife<\/strong> for designers, with <strong>easy to use features<\/strong> and a <strong>good result in display use<\/strong> but also in <strong>typesetting for short texts.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This led us to create our new typeface:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.zetafonts.com\/bulletto\" target=\"_blank\">Bulletto<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"sb-image sb-gallery \"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kmzero.com\/sites\/default\/files\/a1_1.png\" rel=\"shadowbox[gallery_article_en]\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image-in-text\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kmzero.com\/sites\/default\/files\/a1_1.png\" alt=\"immagine_articolo_1\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bulletto<\/strong>\u00a0was designed to <strong>maximize legibility<\/strong> in bold italic characters. Its shapes take inspiration from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zetafonts.com\/digitalino\" target=\"_blank\">Digitalino<\/a>, the fat typeface designed by Francesco Canovaro for\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kmzero.com\/case\/digitalic\" target=\"_blank\">Digitalic<\/a>\u00a0brand identity. To add a script flavour all uppercase\u00a0letters have a small swash with a round ball terminal, and\u00a0to avoid clashes between letters in all-uppercase words, a secondary set of uppercase was designed:<\/p>\n<div class=\"sb-image sb-gallery \"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kmzero.com\/sites\/default\/files\/a2_0.png\" rel=\"shadowbox[gallery_article_en]\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image-in-text\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kmzero.com\/sites\/default\/files\/a2_0.png\" alt=\"immagine_articolo_3\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>This effect is obtained by open type substitution and can be disabled by switching off standard ligatures.\u00a0A set of <strong>final forms for lowercases<\/strong> and some <strong>swash endings<\/strong> where added too.\u00a0To obtain the final form, allow opentype final form alternates or simply type <strong>two hyphens<\/strong> after the letter. Similarly, <strong>type one to four underscores<\/strong> after the last letter to get swash endings:<\/p>\n<div class=\"sb-image sb-gallery \"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kmzero.com\/sites\/default\/files\/a7_1.png\" rel=\"shadowbox[gallery_article_en]\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image-in-text\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kmzero.com\/sites\/default\/files\/a7_1.png\" alt=\"immagine_articolo_4\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The use of swashes and alternates makes creation of simple logos very easy.<\/p>\n<div class=\"sb-image sb-gallery \"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kmzero.com\/sites\/default\/files\/a3_0.png\" rel=\"shadowbox[gallery_article_en]\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image-in-text\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kmzero.com\/sites\/default\/files\/a3_0.png\" alt=\"immagine_articolo_5\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>From the original Bulletto design (<strong>Bulletto Killa<\/strong>), many different variants were developed. <strong>Bulletto Monoline<\/strong>, is a light monoweight version, while\u00a0<strong>Bulletto Alto<\/strong> is a version with taller ascendants and descendants and a slight slant.<\/p>\n<div class=\"sb-image sb-gallery \"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kmzero.com\/sites\/default\/files\/a6_0.png\" rel=\"shadowbox[gallery_article_en]\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"image-in-text\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kmzero.com\/sites\/default\/files\/a6_0.png\" alt=\"immagine_articolo_6\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Like all Zetafonts typefaces,\u00a0<strong>Bulletto<\/strong>\u00a0is <strong>free for non commercial uses<\/strong>.
